Good evening readers,
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Here in Bristol it’s been pretty rainy but not too bad. (I do feel for all of the people outside at Tokyo World though.) I’ve been mostly inside anyway; with work yesterday and being at home with the boyfriend today. We did, however, pop out for lunch to Hubbox on Whiteladies road.
We knew we wanted to go out somewhere different for lunch, as there’s so much choice in Bristol. Originally we looked at a nearby tapas bar, but after a little menu browsing, we decided to try this place instead. We were not disappointed.
Small but packed full of attitude, Hubbox made an impression. Light box signs, hand painted art on the walls and a shipping container down the end made up the funky decor. The menu was pure American style burgers and sides but with local ingredients, including four veggie/vegan burgers, six chicken burgers, three fish burgers, nachos, mac’n’cheese and more!
I had the Fakin’ bacon burger, handcut fries and chipotle slaw and the boyfriend had a classic cheeseburger and motherclucker fries. It was all scrummy and very filling. If you are ever in Bristol or the South West give it a try. Yum!
